hey ns! first off merry xmas, :D
...now to the point of the thread, i've been thinking of getting a saying from the norse language, culture, mythological stories, for my brother who passed a few years back tattooed. i haven't really delved into researching yet, since i've been quite busy, but i know we have some members on here from the area, or who might even know something passed down. i wanted it obviously to be a commemorative piece for him, and mainly, in the old language or current, because he loved studying the mythology, and he was learning the language, and was quite fond of norway and it's culture(and the metal). so i don't know if there's any old saying about family, or a lost loved one, or just something about rememberance, strength, or the fallen, or even a quote from a song. any ideas would be awesome, and i would obviously double check anything sent to me because the last thing i need is a bad quote on me about banging someone's uncle :P
i did plan on eventually getting my own rendition of yggdrasil tattooed on my leg or back, but i'd also enjoy a quote...
