Well to start off, I'm not much of a park skier. I'm an all mountain skier. I like to take turns in the trees/back bowls. love to hike so I can access the most challenging terrain to my ability.
But I really want to start trying to get into park this season. only jumps, not rails. And I have noticed a problem recently.
When I drop cliffs or other features with just a drop I feel completely comfortable hitting. Always have my knees and feet together, never land backseat, and I always have my body in the perfect position, it just feels completely natural. But the problem is that when I hit any transition: jumps, side kickers on the hill, I never feel comfortable hitting and I always do the gaper spread eagle and hands in the air half the time.
My question is: What could I do with my body position or any other variables so I don't do the spread eagle when jumping transition feels more natural?
What do you NS that makes it looks so steezy, and feel so natural when you go off a jump, kicker, or ride any transition?
