I was skiing some rails and boxes yesterday. When i hit the boxes my inside edge on my right ski up at the front of my boot started catching. My edges shouldn't be sharp i don't sharpen them. So what is it?
which foot do you have forward?
if your right foot is trailing it's because both feet have to be angled back or the edge will go down into the rail
if it's forward, don't angle it as much?
buy a gummy stone and rub it a few times underfoot to dull your edges. do it a little and if they're still too sharp then do it some more, but don't go ham on your edges the first time around. leave the edges sharper at the tips and tails otherwise if you hit ice you'll die
You might have an edge burr or something. Could be rusty (or square) box coping. Could be a lot of things. Also, how do you know it's catching right in that particular area and not right underfoot or a little farther out?
