Just an idea, but what if there was a button you could click that automatically directed you to the mod who's currently online and idle for the least amount of time? Or it could let you send an email to a NS mod account when no mods are online. It'd be useful for letting mods know when people are posting inappropriate things (like peace_pipe aka puppin_dukes aka bread_lover is currently doing btw).

there is a mod email is the transparent moderation thread i believe. Never really used it myself. I figure it would be just as quick as waiting for a mod to get on.

However I do think there should be a few people that should have some mod powers only if their arnt any real mods online. Kind of like a junior mod thing. Cuz this shit is dumb.

if you need a mod asap and no mods are online, post in the "to be deleted thread" if it's concerning threads, posts, feedback, comments, pictures that cross the line, if it's about something else, you could post in transparent moderation or something....

and @ toast, this was basically the whole reason why i was made a mod since i live in a different timezone than the other mods so i'm usually online when other mods aren't...

also on a sidenote, we've had a bit of a troll/alias problem lately, i dunno if it's one person making different aliases over and over again or if it are a bunch of people going full retard at the same time.....

last week alone i think i've deleted more anuses than i had ever seen in my whole life ....

just so you know, we're working on it :)

you could write down a list of all the mods you know, then tape it to the side of your computer monitor. then when you see something you find to be so deeply offensive, you can hit ctrl+f and type in each mods name to see if they're on. it's virtually foolproof.

or just add them to your friends list so if they are online, they show up at the top

what if you're using a library computer or at a friends house? I think the only logical solution is to tattoo all the mod names to yourself.

at first i was going to suggest to tattoo them on the underarm but then i thought to myself, what if you're wearing long sleeves? you'd have to roll em up every time you needed a mod so i decided it would be better to have them tattooed on the inside of the eyelids, that way you just have to blink to see the list ...

but the problem is many people can't type with their eyes closed..so under the eyelids would be a problem

open one eye, close the other, then other way around for the rest of the list, the system is really quite foolproof even if i say so myself !

also, regarding the original idea...if there was a report to mod button that sent an automatic message to whoever was on, i would shoot my computer. do you know how many little shitheads and aliases would abuse the hell out of that privilege? that'd be a stellar idea in a perfect society, but it sure as shit would not work on newschoolers.
