1/10 because we have 5 features, and they don't know how to make a proper lip or landing, and two of our boxes are shit, one with no coping and is all bumpy and warped and is too short, and one is also too short and I have no idea what the fuck is on top but it sucks. And we have no jumps.
2/10 because my hill has no idea what a good park setup is. it has like 5 rails that are maybe 8 ft long and they suck and they make shitty jumps! I always go to other near by hills for park
my park is sundown mountain in iowa and we have a progressive where you can hit everything and the jumps actually not shitty and the north park has a 35' when its biggest 3 jump line and halfpipe and quarterpipe so i guess i'd give it a 6
whats up with all the hate in this thread? how can you hate on your home mountain? anyways, id give my home mountain 6.5/10 because even though its not that sick, for what they have they do a pretty damn good job with it. jumps kinda suck but theyre creative with the rails
Fuck you talkin bout every one of sundowns rails are about to fall apart. The jumps are set up right 10 percent of the time and they got rid of the half pipe. If you're already driving from IC just go to chestnut in galena
Probably 2/10, right now it's the best it has been in the last couple years. I hear from the builder that they are trying to add even more. Pretty fun right now though.
8/10. Main park goes from top to bottom (Okemo). Then there is a second park with halfpipe, jibs, and jumps. Then there is a third that is probably better than most midwest parks. Then there are two mini parks with plenty of jibs.
7/10 for Breckenridge right now because not very many rails but the jumps are great! 8/10 for Keystone for having like 45 rails open and a ton of jumps that are good too! Sorry to hear everyone elses parks are terrible...
7/10 for snoquamie last time i was there, and 2/10 for crystal because their park is a joke, no jumps and a handful of jibs with shitty lips the only reason it exceeds a 1 out of 10 is because most of the jibs are kinked or at least not 5 feet long and flat.
Keystone and Breck are 10/10 parks. At the least, 9/10. I mean... what is better? Mammoth, Whistler, PC, and maybe North Star if you're a snowboarder. Shits top tier.
for PA, i would give bear creek's park a 9/10. as far as mountains near me go (big boulder, blue, CBK), it definitely has the nicest features. jumps are lacking but the mountain is just too small and there isn't really enough snow.
Right now not more then 12 rail set up and no Jumps,
but the Halfpipe is up at full glory 22ft up. And she looks sexy in the morning on the way up the lift.
Still 32 days left till the X games here. Crank that shit out snowmakers.
Idk I am probably being a bit harsh but that's just because I have seen Breck with a much better park at this tim of the year... They are pretty skimpish on the rails right now and then there are some issues with speed on some of the jumps... Keystone I probably could have been a bit higher but as I said I have just seen much better from Breck so I guess I just have high standards not trying to be spoiled or anything hahaha
Yah Key is way ahead of Breck right now just with the amount they have open. But if you can hit freeway then I guess Breck is pretty sick because of the dew tour features that are there right now. I think once they tear down the dew tour set up they will start fixing up Park Lane and then I think Breck will get ahead of Key.
Now that feature is amazing! I was filming with some friends the other day and we were strolling through freeway just hitting the jumps and some of the stuff I saw with people hitting that feature was pretty stunning...
right now id give wachusett a 1/10 because they had 2 rails over the weekend and even though they werent that good they took them out and who knows when they are gonna go back in or get a park up. in the middle and late season though wa is like a 5/10, for a east coast park
wild mountain: 7/10 some fun stuff but jumps landings are very short and easy to knuckle overshoot
Hyland hills: 7.5/10 always rutted but there are quality features and large jumps
Afton alps: 8.5/10 well groomed, never dug out, single jump is larger than before
Trollhaugen: 3/10. ehhhh not very good. they removed all the good rails, grooming is lacking with ruts and bombholes everywhere, 40 foot jump is about 20 and poorly groomed. this was last week though, maybe they've made changes since then.
Whistler: It has 5 jumps but 1 of them sucks, as for rails their setup is pretty standard except for their new wall ride/rail thing 7.5/10. Blackcomb is definetly a lot better for doing jumps though (b/c of the black park) as for their rails they are super dope except for the fact they dont have the DFD box up (8.5/10)
