Moving from Maine to Utah, Who's got a couch for me

Sup guys,

So here's the deal, I'm moving from Maine to Utah between Tuesday the 3rd and Friday the 6th of January. I've been here for a while and now we got a tight community going on here and that's why i'm trying this. Pretty much i've planned out my trip as  four 650 mile days until i get to SLC, so i only need 3 nights of hospitality. Let's hope this works. PM me if you can hook a brother up. I'll be out of your door before 8, and on the road, so i won't be a bother. Just trying to save a couple bucks and i think this is the way to do it. Let me know what you can do

Tuesday Night, the 3rd. Should be around BUFFALO, NEW YORK.
Wednesday Night, the 4th. I should be around CHICAGO ILLINOIS. the farther west along I-80 you are the better, but anything works.
Thursday the 5th. This is definitely a shot in the Dark, but NORTH PLATTE, NEBRASKA.

Alright guys. Let's make this happen. PM me or post in here. and if a mod wants to sticky this, that'd be sweet.

I am from Maine and I go to school in SLC too. Other than one obvious assumption, skiing, why are you moving out?

I just drove out from Detroit to Los Angeles, and I just slept in Hotel parking lots. I would roll up at like 3-4a, sleep till 7a-8a go back on the road. If I was getting sleepy on the road, I would pull over at a fast food place and take a nap. I made the trip in 3 days.

i did ontario to bc last wnter sleeping in my car and fuck ya it was cold one night it was like -30 with 80km winds i was so bundled except for my head and face it was the weirdest sensation of my life waking up witha forzen head but everything else is alright

so if u do sleep in ur car and it gets cold wrap ur head in some sweaters and wear a hat

I'd hella help you out but i don't live anywhere near you're driving through but i have made cross country trips alone and i usually just crash in my whip but park near a mc donalds when you sleep bacause they have wifi and if you have an iphone or laptop you can internet surf while on the road. Watch netflix or someshit. Good luck brotha

hope it works out for you man.

sleeping in your car isnt really all that bad tho. i would suggest looking into hostels tho. they typically run only like 15 to 25 bucks for the night.

Kinda. I had a blanket, but at one point I turned the heat on for about 30 minutes or so.

When I was in college I'd go skiing for days at a time when i didn't have class and I'd sleep in my car. If you have to do it, this is what I found worked best.

Pack like two sleeping bags and blankets or whatever. MAKE SURE YOU PISS BEFORE YOU GET BUNDLED UP! Get as cozy and comfy as you can and run your car with the heat cranked for a while so it gets real warm. I'd set alarms for like every couple of hours to turn the car on and keep it as warm as possible.

I hope someone helps you out but if you do have to sleep in your car this works good. You don't get the best sleep if you have to wake up multiple times but it's better than freezing to death.
