+K for helping some kids get a park

So there has been quite the dilemma going on for the past couple weeks in Tahoe. A local resort (Mt.Rose) has been denying all of the kids that ride at the resort(mostly pass holders) a terrain park since they have opened, let alone a couple rails or boxes, after opening with a park almost every year before this. Ironically, they also started a freestyle ski/snowboard program this year that costs around 1500 dollars for a single spot that filled up with eager kids wanting to learn how to jump and jib. Unfortunately, a lot of these kids are stuck riding there every weekend and are actually getting in trouble by ski patrol for jumping around on side lips and going fast down the groomers. Because the mountain is so close to town and and some of them are still in school with no wheels to get around the lake a lot of them are doomed every weekend to ski groomers at a moderate to slow speed. Even though they continue to open up more terrain they keep ignoring all of the complaints from the park riders/parents/kids saying they don't have enough snow for a couple rails which is complete bullshit (I work terrain parks there). If you are in the tahoe area you would know that all the resorts here have the same issue with lack of snow yet mt.rose is still the only mountain open without a park.

Pretty much all I am asking: if you have a facebook account, leave a comment on their FB page telling them to set up a park. It doesn't have to be nice nor does it have to be mean, just mention setting up a park ASAP. Leave a comment on the thread after and ill give you 10/10.

done done done. Really every mountain/hill needs rails jumps and jibs. Even my hill that is super small made an effort to put rails up on opening day when there isnt even a park yet. Thats how awesome they are. Hope they will do the same :)

done i just think theres other reasons than they just dont feel like it
mabie they where getting complaints from a lot of people
it could be a liability and the insurance would cost too much
the might not have enough workers to maintain a park (although you only really need one to rake a small rail park)
you should figure this out and arrange somethig with the ownere like park passes where you have to sighn an agreement to get into the park, and mabie even pay a litle extra to support the park

My home mountain in Indiana currently has their park built to the greatest extent that the weather has allowed (its been a constant 40-50 and raining the past week or two) with 7 rails and a small jump. There is no reason a ski resort that has the privilege of being on a legit mountain and get real snow cant make a park right now. Hell they've been cannibalizing snow from the side of the run to keep our park running strong through this shitty weather. People on the page are saying that park skiers should stop complaining about not having one, but you know what? If they had made the whole mountain into a terrain park and didnt have any groomers or trails open they would be raising hell. They dont understand, they are loosing business by doing this. Even if they didnt have enough snow for a full park, they could easily put in a dozen rails by just taking snow off the side of the trials. There is absolutely no excuse for not having a park this late in the season.

me and my friend commented and liked every comment we could a few days ago, commented about a park for two days, and called to talk to them. what did they do, they made it so we cant comment or like anything on their page. So we made a facebook group called Rails for Rose heres the link to our page.
