The Score is the most incredible and touching music I know. I still love listening to it after all this years. I love the movies, the books and the video games. Everything about Tolkien's world is just fucking epic.
It's a shame how people celebrate Avatar or Titanic, which are both listed as the most succesful films in history. I fucking hate those and compared to LOTR they simply seem to me like crap.
LOTR actually has a meaning to it, it is magical and special to people that actually appreciate it. Avatar was fucking gay, it was so stupid and every thinks that it was amazing because of its "graphics" thats bull shit, just because it had some gay graphics with blue shit heads running around doesn't mean anything. LOTR had SPECTACULAR graphics and an amazing story line with incredible actors. LOTR is flawless and I imagine the hobbit will to.
I've been so excite for this movie. Busting out the super nerd inside when I go to this comic con nerds will look like they are in street clothes when I show up. LOTR is my life..
you know that you've become obsessed when you change your ns name, re-read The Hobbit twice in the last month and just pre-ordered The Hobbit Special Edition Soundtrack which I'm sure Howard Shore killed it...again. GET STOKED! Still gotta get my tix tho...
Wow, it doesn't feel like a year when I first saw this thread and was like "fuck i gotta wait another year". For some reason I thought it was coming out in 2013. Damn Im pumped now..
i almost feel that they're dragging it out too far though. i mean, the book isn't even that big...how do you turn a 200 something page book in to 6 hours of movies?
That's true, however I have noticed that books that are turned into movies generally have a lot of parts cut out. Maybe this movie having 3 parts we'll get more parts of the book. I guess only time will tell if it was a good choice for the fans or just a decision to make more money.
sorry, i'm not too educated on the whole LOTR thing. What are the histories of middle earth? Hell, I'm just now re-reading The Hobbit for the first time in like 20 years. Never read the LOTR books and have only seen the first two movies.
theres about 4 books worth of them outside the original LOTR trilogy which you should read before you die or else you will have completely wasted your life.
i am so happy peter jackson is making them so the chance of a total fuck up horrible movie ruined story is considerably lower
its safe to say i am erect with anticipation of this movie
I'm a little bummed I have a final exam on the 10th so will have to miss the midnight showing. But good god I am ready for this. As for the split, if it is done well it could turn out far better than trying to cram everything into one. They just to make sure each one can stand alone ok rather than having massive cliff hangers
Words can not describe my love for The Lord of the Rings. Just listening to the soundtracks watching the movies and re-reading the books gives me goose bumps. God dam I love this shit.
Taking my dad less then two hrs after I fly home from university. He read all of the books to me as a little kid and took me to all the movies when they came out a few years later so it feels good to finally return the favour.
