Anyone from NS enjoy the occasional premium cigar?  We are talking hand rolled, not gas station "cigars."

my cousin grabbed me 6 cohibas right off the factory belt when she was in cuba, they were extra long too because they hadn't been cut to the proper length yet. they were real nice.

The only issue with cubans is that since they are illegal in the US, they usually aren't shipped properly and their moisture content drops.  So usually by the time you get a cuban cigar it is completely dried and harsh.  Cigars need to be kept in a humidor.  But if you can by chance get a cuban that has been kept correctly, yes they are arguably the best.  But some countries produce cigars that rank right up there.

Went to tobacco store with me and 3 bros and got the fattest cigars to celebrate graduation...they were totally sick but everybody thought it was funny we were smokin these big fattys lol.

I really enjoy Rocky Patel Vintage 1999. They are a nice mellow beginner smoke. Cohiba Extra Vigoroso if I'm feeling harcore. But the Rocky Patel is my go to.

I smoked a Patel Vintage 1992 a few nights ago, I liked it.  Had a nice aftertaste that's for sure. 

How much does those Cohibas set you back?  What is the flavor profile like?

The Extra Vigoroso at my local shop is $11. Certainly there are more expensive Cohibas, but I like the Extra Vigoroso for a little more robust smoke.

A friend of mine is also cuban and he goes there about every 6 weeks to visit family, brings me back hand rolled cubans. His cousin who is still there rolls his own and good god they are good.

Shitty gas station cigars suck, but i do enjoy a backwood everynow and then

I'm a pipe smoker, and one day I had a smoke in front of the building next to mine, hoping to meet some new people. I get talking to this kid who's smoking a cuban, I thought it was cool shit, and he was stoked on my pipe. I ashed my pipe, and he just gave me half his cigar. Then some girl he knew came over to talk to him, and next thing I know, I'm sitting back with a cuban cigar and a girl on my lap... this girl turned out to be one that would be sort of an ongoing thing until, well, last week!
One of the coolest nights ever, haha.

similar to cigars....has anyone on here ever smoked a "biddie". it's a hand rolled Indian cigarette. I payed about 15 cents for 20 of them.

coming from a cig smoker I  smoked 3 of these and was so light headed I had to lie down

If you ever go to cube by a couple Cuban cigars then buy other cigars that are legal to bring back to America but empty out the legal ones and put the wrapper around the cuban one and the people in the airport won't even check... Inside tip

Yeah, I'd like to know this as well. If you're smoking a cigar correctly the chance of lung cancer drops drastically. The major danger is mouth and gum cancer, but that still is less likely to occur than people may think. He must have been smoking very many, how old was he (or she)?

just starting my pipe smoking endeavour, bought a corn cob pipe a couple weeks ago and some prince albert ha, i have to say so far its a lot smoother than cigs, and it tastes better

To the OP those are definitely my favorites too! So consistent and just and overall good flavor.

Well while we're on this topic favorite place to burn one out. Personally its going for a good hike and watching the sunset. All my friends think this is weird though.

This would be just my opinion. But I would if you can try to buy the cigars at a shop in your town. The whole things an experience and just over all pretty chill. Sorta the same thing as trying to buy ski gear at a local shop. The guys there can help you out a lot. And you're also purchasing the cigars straight out of a humidor. Where as in shipping it I'm assuming that it just comes in normal packaging like a fed-ex package, which might dry them out. Although I've never purchased them online It's just a thought. But for the other stuff I wouldn't see an issue buying off of online.
