Go into a shop and try anything and everything on. Take hours... hang out in the boots that seem to fit better than others and keep comparing. No one can just tell you that this boot is the best over this other boot. For your skiing, I could recommend a flex for you and thats about it... After that, every company will fit differently and every boot past that will fit differently as well. A bootfitter will not look at you poorly if you dont have a good idea of what you want to start ~ actually, the WORST customer ever is the one that wants what his friends told him to get and just goes for it, easy sale but a headache later when the dumb bro can't feel is feet and the fitter has to do a bunch of work to the boots after they started to get stinky and gross. **just because they fit boots doesnt mean they like feet ;)
Have what you ski in mind, how many days a year you ski, an idea of what flex you are looking for and if you are on a budget = a few glances at your feet and a bootfitter will have some great ideas for you.
