Learning how to hit rails

I wasjust wondering if it matterd if my bindings were in the center of my ski or not. Because they are already cloes to the middle and I just wanted to know how much of a difference it made?

almost every member on ns started to hit rail with "back mounted" skis.you will not see the difference because you are starting.

Ideally park skiing is easier if you have your skis mounted at true center. But you certainly can slide rails with skis mounted back and you won't notice much of a difference if your just starting out.

I learned with back mounted but I was never good. when i got mine mounted true center i got way better way faster

I learned to ride down rails, ride switch and land switch on all mountain skis. Like not twin tips at all, completely flat on the back and no where near center mount... you will be fine without them mounted center. But yes having twins and centered did help my riding a lot.

doesnt really make that much of a difference at all, you will find it much easier tho when you you get your skis centered. I recommend doing this soon before you get too used to back mounted

i had backmounted for 2 years if i remember right.. anyways cleared many rails, didn't really make difference

ideally you would want your skis to be center mounted. However, there is no problem hitting a rail with your bindings mounted a little more traditional riding style. My advice is if you're looking to get into park and really want to focus on rails/jumps, to get a pair of park skis and center mount them. If you will mostly be skiing all mountain with a rail here or there, a binding mounted back a bit will be fine. If you can afford two pairs of skis, even better!

I have line masterminds and they are pretty close to the center is it worth 30 to get them moved to the center? and thx for responding
