I gave blood yesterday, and I gave double (the thing where they like recycle your blood ,put stuff back into you and whatnot, but they end up getting more blood). I felt fine afterwards, better than when i gave regular in fact, which they said is normal because you get fluid back while giving double. But they also said it might make me cold, which it did, but I still feel internally cold today and i cant warm up. Has anyone experienced this before? Is it something i should call the united blood services about? or will it hopefully just go away
I did the same thing, double reds for me. And it should've only felt cold initially going back in. But I'd probably call them to be on the safe side. just be sure to take in alot of sodium and water since thats what you're blood is mainly made up of.
Maybe try that. It shouldn't be an issue since you come out of it with more fluids. I actually went to the climbing gym the same day I gave. But maybe working out or some sort of exercise will warm you're body up, and I realize this is very rudimentary thinking but you never know. But definitely if it doesn't go away by maybe today and definitely by tomorrow then go see a doctor.
