Skis stolen / Sunday river

Was getting ready to pack up and head home came outside went to the rack and they were gone. Went and talked to a cop and he said 15 grand worth of stuff got stolen. If anyone of you new englanders spots some 09 chronics with px12s with a blue ns sticker give me a shout please. My whole winter is ruined and I want to die fuuuck

WTFF man that sucks so bad. If you can find another one to the set I have a single 178 liberty lte i can basiclly give you. I got a jiberish crew stolen this fall at sunday river also. Shit fucking sucks. I hope you find your skis man. Ill be on the lookout.

Fuck man that blows. What I do is separate my skis so there's one ski on one side of the rack and the other one far away. It kinda of a pain in te neck but it's better than getting your skis stolen

Someone stole my beater park skis at keystone earlier this year. Think i know who did it too, but I have no way to prove it.

Hopefully those responsible will get hit by a bus. Best of luck. Now I lock my skis even if I'm just running inside for a few seconds.

My resort has a place where you can leave your skis and it costs like 2$ per day to do it but its definitely worth it. Does sunday river have anything like that?

sucks man. i heard a similar heist happened at brighton close to or on opening day this year.

everyone, at the very least, make sure to separate your skis on the rack. thieves will always go for the easiest pair to take. don't make yours that pair. also, record the serial numbers on your skis before something like this has a chance to happen.

a lady called the shop i work at to tell us her RTM 84's (1100 skis) had been stollen at killington, then she told us they caught the guy who did it, he was loading skis into his van and he the cops found 30 grand worth of stolen ski shit

Since I have Look Pivot bindings, my trick to counter theft is to pop them up, turn them to the side, and push them down below the ski. To most people it looks very broken.

PLEASE tell me how I am stupid for saying this. how the fuck is telling people to carry their skis with them stupid OR trolling? it's not that hard to carry them. if your resort doesn't allow it(must be a shitty place, huh?) then eat outside and piss in the trees. yeah, having shit stolen sucks. ask me, I locked up a 2000 dollar bmx bike at the fucking dew tour and it got stolen. I know how it feels, but if you just leave your shit unlocked on a rack outside then you have no right to complain when it gets stolen.

regardless, mad sympathy. it sucks you got fucked over, all I'm saying is that the world is full of shitty assholes and you gotta be vigilant if you own valuable shit.

yeah, and 99% of people who ski respect other skiers and would never even think about stealing a pair of sticks. but you gotta understand that alot of the people who go skiing aren't life skiers like most of the people on newschoolers. these people either don't see it the way you do or just don't give a fuck about taking your shit to make a few bucks.

and all the places I've skied don't have rules against it. which includes more than a few shithole midwest hills as well as bird, alta, brighton and solitude. I honestly cannot for the life of me imagine why a ski resort wouldn't allow you to bring your skis inside to piss/shit/eat/whatever it is that people do in ski lodges

sucks man. I always lock my skis, they could easily cut the lock but it makes it that much harder. There are lots of little things you can do that help. I really wish people would be more honourable

whenever i go in for awhile my local hill has portables with lockers in em so i just chuck my skis in there, (i rent a locker for a season and obviously lock it.) but yeah man getting shit stolen sucks I had my 2010 JO pros locked up nearing the end of the day by some other guy, because i didnt lock them up properly. thank god i just waited there for him and got my skis back.

Call local ski shops where a thief could trade in skis or something of that matter. Let them know in case someone brings them in. This might be your best option. Also check E-Bay and Craigslist. We should start a Paypal fund for you to get some new skis man. I couldn't imagine having this happen to me.

thankfully I work park crew and have a safe spot for my skis all the time, my resort is pretty good about keeping peoples shit safe, somehow my resort in Tennessee is in the top ten winter destinations in the world. Big tourism town and a fucking shit load of chalets, also a lot of dumb ass tourists from florida that will steal shit so we have a complimentary storage facility ran by a crew of workers so people can keep all of there gear locked up behind employees for free. Pretty baller deal that more resorts that attract tourists should do
