Don't let these guys wiggle their way out of a serious mistake they made. Don't give them an inch. Even though they took your skis info, I can just see them trying to give you a shitty 40 dollar store credit or something, all the while acting like they are bending over backwards for you.
I'm glad he owned up to his mistake and seems genuine about getting you some new skis. That goes a long way. It was probably a kid in training mounting skis for the first time. Just don't want to see you get taken advantage of, because i see ppl being taken advantage of all the time in my line of work.
If you're a bumbling fucking idiot working for a ski shop and fuck someone's new equipment up, then the shop should have the integrity to do the right thing. If not, then that's just shady practice.
