Hidden valley, pa

wanted to know if anybody out there will be skiing the valley this season. obviously 7springs is superior, thats a given. but i heard that valley would be opening some new parks this year; is it worth going?

It's really fun, my boys the park manager and created a pretty lap-able setup.
Plus they have a rope tow for the park!

sorry dude, park kinda blew. They only have 2 parks, neither have any jumps or rollers only boxes and rails. Yea they have a rope tow to a set of four boxes and rails but i'd rather work on shit besides rails. Seven springs by far has the upper hand in every thinkable way.

Bullshit. The parks are pretty nice. The first park is just 3 real easy boxes and a short rail. But the rope tow park is : A 15 foot down box then a flat down mailbox and a waterfall box. then there is a tail bonk and a 15+ foot rail and a C box. Only advantage hidden valley has is it's less crowded. I like it though.

yea it was well maintained and everything. I liked it for what it had. I guess i was just sour cause i wanted to practice some 3s and 5s lol

Plus they haven't had much good weather for snowmaking in the park.. so it's not looking good for jumps quite yet.

Wrangler, the big park, will be opening for the weekend with some dope jumps and rails. Our medium park, Jaguar, still has no snow and the forecast aint lookin good. Valley has been pretty dam dope this year considering the weather. BTW valley actually does have advantages over springs like super low cost, crowds, lap time and good maintenance. ill give you that 2 parks and no jumps is week but you have to realize that the two parks are designated rails parks, Wrangler will be dope for the weekend but jag which will include a medium jump/roller line is still a few good snowmaking days away.

well then i guess youd like to know that we will have a 3 jump line opening on wrangler tomorrow. not enough snow for the full build with rails and jibs but we felt that people wanted the jumps and we aim to please! it will be a small to a medium stepdown followed by a larger step overISH jump. keep in mind that our sizes are relative to valley so that means that "large" should be in the 30-35' ball park once the lip is pushed tonight We will post pictures on our facebook page sometime tomorrow after noon... http://www.facebook.com/parkmanager1

ah shiiit man, vibes.... but you will be stoked to see that the jumps are actually more like 12' 30' 55' and hopefully you also realized that no speed checks are required. send it, send it, send it! the third landing is a bit flat but its more of a sender... let me know what you think

Great work on the Jumps. That third one is huge. It's defiantly 55 Feet to the sweet spot. Only problem was a lot of people were lacking speed into the first jump, especially the boarders. But otherwise that was a fantastic job. Are you guys lookin' to throw any other features in on that park? And how about Jaguar. At least it was open to just ride on!

Wow props to the park crew I remember skiing valley years ago when the park consisted of maybe a few rails and boxes.  I may have to stop over this weekend and film unless springs steps their game up and builds a decent jump or two...

not saying valley doesnt have a good set up,which from what i hear they do. but the freeflow set up that springs has now is sick. not to mention the streets.

I really don't care for springs on a regular basis. Although they do have a sick set up with the streets. But nothing is well maintained compared to Hidden Valley. The park crew is always busy. It's so nice.

to silence the rumor... there is NOT a comp this weekend. We will be having comps soon though and we will be releasing details in a week or so on our facebook page. No series or anything like that, just a few cash for prize events, at least that's the plan for 16 and up kids. should be dope

went up to valley this past week for the first time in years. not gonna lie i was very disappointed. The jumps were not maintained, the rails were sticky, and im not sure what you used to measure those jumps but they werent nearly as big as you said, no way that last one is 55. not to mention the fact that they were poorly built. no matter what you say you cannot compete with springs. springs maintains 4 terrain parks, all of which are better than valley could ever have. went up with an open mind and got very dissapointed

just to let you know, the pass deal is only valid on midweek tickets mon-fri. i heard the do on sunday to but im really not sure, id call and talk to customer service as they will know the right answere. and if you plan on checking us out midweek sometime, keep in mind that the tow rope only runs 3pm to close wed to friday then all day saturday and sunday. we like to stay consistent with the tow schedule but cannot run it at all hours. so dont be bummed if it not spinnin wed morning... they will get it runnin at 3 so you can still get your low-key  midweek tow lap shred on!
