I have met them in person multiple times. and the friends i have are very very crazy close because i have high standards, as you can probably tell from my post. i understand that pisses some people off but thats how i am and i feel it makes the relationships i do have with people a lot better. and come on, in this day its way too easy to judge people. people suck now more than they ever have.
anywayy..like i said ive met them multiple times. never really got a mean or very negative attitude when i actually met them. just kinda cocky, and definitely an "im the fucking shit" attutude. and ive seen them skiing more times than i can count. they are a pretty good definition of someone who let their talent and "fame" get to them, i definitely get the vibe that they think they are the coolest shit to happen in skiing. to dress and ski like they are literally in a rap video, and make all those shots of their hood ass hand signals and shit, they definitely have think they are the shit.
i could be completely wrong, but i feel ive spent enough time around them and seeing them skiing to make a decent judgement, and im usually pretty accurate with my judgements.
which is understandable. i know a lot of people in professional sports, mostly outside of skiing, and you see it all the time. their talent and fame gets to the huge majority of athletes. but to me its not an excuse, there are very few professional athletes that i actually like as people.
all that shit being said. when it comes to the pure skiing they are doing, i have a lot of respect they are doing for the progression of the sport. definitely some of the best and most progressive skiers out there. i just wouldnt show this to a friend outside of skiing because i know id just be laughed at.
I may not be able to respect them as a person at this point, but hey give them a while. they are very young, 5 years or so once they get over the fame, and they could be great people.
