Other then the "ski slide" aka "nugget" one footers bring more hate then a hippy killer. Makes skiers look more like rollerbladers, and in turn you will just get hated on by other skiers who want to be more like snowboarders. Most people rather see a fake tail press and look like a snowboarder then do a one foot and look like a rollerblader.

I know Vinny isn't to pumped on Ian's one foots but he makes them look the best. Fast and with some kinda switch up is the way to do them.

Get that shit out. I will never actually think any type of one footer other than a 50/50 aka nuggest will look decent. I was surprised to see Phil and Henrik doing them and not in a good way.

I'm stoked that one footers are on the uprise. Lets be sure to name them right, if it is the back foot its a backslide, if its the front foot its a fastslide. I think that they should be grabbed for optimal style but this does make them a lot harder.

Which is kind of silly since two-footed grinds are just as similar to rollerblading as one-footed grinds. Rollerbladers just progressed to one-footed grinds before us so now skiers are hesitant to do them.

You think this is the first time in freeskiing that one footers got some attention? They've been around since the start pretty much but there's a reason why we haven't seen them gain any more popularity until now. They don't look good, at all. I'm not hating on the fact they might be fun but I we don't really need to see them in movies and edits.

Haha, of course it's not the first time, and it's wholesomely not as controversial when it was Tanner's nollie lip vs. Gagnier's backslide in the X-Games of... 2004?

But who are you to decide what people want to showcase in movies and edits? I think they look fucking awesome and they are difficult to pull off well. It's people like you who suck out the exact 'fun' you mentioned out of a sport that began as an exercise of freedom and innovation in skiing.

talking about the ones making them look like they're about to eat shit on purpose and look somwhat gapery

seems like quite a few pro edits recently have had them (recently as in the last few weeks)

They are impressive from a skill standpoint, but they still look dumb, IMO. Hopefully it doesn't become the new cool thing to do. Although, I feel like the fact that the few people that like them have been pushing it for years and it hasn't caught on is a good sign. I guess Phil and Henrik may change that.
