Serious issues with FCP X. (Color issues)

Ok some of you video gurus might know what's up here...

With some of my footage, I did frame pulldowns to get some nice slow shots. These shots worked FINE in FCP 7 when I edited them last year. No issues.

However, I finally gave in and tried giving FCP X a try after all the shit-flinging that went down after its release. I was just toying around with footage from last year when suddenly...

THIS IS WHAT I END UP WITH:

What the fuck is this shit? It's not a color correction issue... it's like my colors are totally inverted or something. The bright blues you see in the shot are actually supposed to be red/orange.

This might be a stupid question but does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on? If this happens every time I do frame pulldowns I'm going to have to smack a hoe

But seriously. I find FCP X worth giving a shot since it runs better with 64 bit processing capabilities.

No one knows what's going on here?

No idea why that would happen... doesn't really make any sense. You sure you're just not applying some effect and dont know it?

I checked everything. I have no idea what's up.

Weird thing is, the original clips come up fine. It's only the ones that I slowed down that show up with the red tinge.

I was in the same situation but FCP 7 won the fight because the interface wons over the speed for me but can't decide wether or not I really made the right choice...

do whats best for your computer...uninstall fcpx and install fcp7 or even premiere for that matter

but really that is strange that you had that problem and did you maybe try reopening the footage in fcpx just to see if it was a temporary glitch? idk

Any speed increased by FCPX's processing is immediately undone with it's clunky layout and bugs. So no, it's no faster (dare I say-even slower) than using an "outdated" program like FCP 7.

naw its pretty fucking fast.

im in the struggle to switch back to fcp 7 though. fcpx literally uses like 4gbs of my harddrive space if I edit for 3 hours. it just sucks because ive been in the middle of 3 edits in fcpx for a while now, and obviously the project won't open up in fcp7. time to buy a new external, get in the habbit of converting everything to pro res, and hold it down in fcp7 for a while again.
