So i know all the pros use final cut pro but that's only for macs, and i have a pc.
So i was wondering, whats the best editing software for windows?

in the future, try using the search bar. i have seen many threads on it in the past. but if you have a pc the best software is adobe premiere cs5. you could get sony vegas 10, but personally i dont like it. cs5 is the way to go

IMO I like to work on vegas. Its fast powerful and has a decent amount of pugins. But it is such a bitch to get TRULY good export options. So i have slowly been making a switch to premiere. It handles dslr vid much better too if that what you film with.

like others said, premiere pro cs5 is the way to go. Its pretty simple to use imo. And if you can also get after effects its nice. If you get premiere cs5 make sure you get after effects cs5. If you get cs5.5 and try to transfer over a title, it will probably not work in premiere, due to upgrades. I worked on an intro in AF CS5.5 for 2 hours, finished it, imported it to PP CS5, and it didnt work. dont make my mistake.
