about having slope style under the lights? a lot of people said it wouldn't happen but the X-games is going to prove you all wrong!

THURSDAY, JANUARY 26

10:30 a.m. — 12:30 p.m. Men's Ski Slopestyle Elimination

1:30 p.m. — 2:30 p.m. Women's Ski Slopestyle Final

2:30 p.m. — 3:30 p.m. Snowboard Street Final

7:00 p.m. — 8:15 p.m. Snowmobile Freestyle Final

7:45 p.m. — 9:00 p.m. Men's Ski Slopestyle Final


first year that slope is at night, under the lights. should be interesting.

i think thats sick. if its well enough lit it should look really good

If it's really well lit then I think, slopestyle might be easier at night. Think about it, much more of a contrast between sky and landings, easier to spot landings.

I think it's a really interesting idea, and assuming that the placement of the lights are spot on and don't interfere, this could become the norm.

I have seen several Dew Tour stops in person, including yesterday's slope qualis and I can say without a doubt that flat light absolutely stymies the comp and riders have to ease up a bit. Assuming we're not looking at significant snowfall, night time riding takes lighting out the equation...huge.

I wonder how much icier the course will be though...

i think it's interesting that the qualifying isn't at night too. i figured they would have the qualifier one night and then the finals the next. but the way they have it now, it will be a whole different dynamic between the qualifying runs and the final runs, because of the light.
