Hey NS, new to the forums so I'll try not to embarrass myself too much.
New to the freestyle skiing scene, and looking for a solid pair of twin tips to shred the park & maybe pipe when I'm ready. Hoping you guys could recommend some skis or propose a couple other options that I might be missing?
About me:
6'4"
175-180lbs(ish)
Michigan (metro Detroit area)
Skiing for 8+ years (Been to Vail, Breck, Keystone, Copper, Sugarbush, etc.)
Mostly looking to ski park & pipe (80% park/ 20% downhill)
Prefer softer flex with a lot of pop
I've done some research and basically have heard nothing but good things about the Atomic Punx, seems they are the staple in the park. I'm interested in the AR7 for its use outside the park, but am a bit wary of the stiffness. I've also looked at the Atomic Patent, but I'm worried the swing weight from the extra width might make learning new spins a bit more difficult?
Are there any other skis I should look at as well? I'd like to consider all my options before making a decision.
Price range I'm not too worried about, I'd like to keep it under $500 though if at all possible (I might buy used on the forums, so this is the least of my worries).
Thanks guys!
