It depends. I live in tahoe and go to mammoth about once a month. I prefer mammoth mountain better, but i would say everything outside of skiing is better in tahoe than mammoth
Well...if you have to choose and you ski park, go to Mam. Neither is going to get hit with anything significant enough to make for good steeps skiing before Christmas. Thus, go where the early season park is best, which is Mammoth. I was up there for opening weekend and I forgot how big a 45 foot booter really is.
Yeah yeah yeah I know...nothing under 100 feet is big as far as ski-gabber is concerned. But this is also the home of the 96 inch long rainbow trout.
Disagree with this statement. The only thing even close to better about Mammoth, is the park. That being said, with SPT now building the park at Squaw and Alpine, and Jonas still building jumps at Alpine, I can't imagine any reason to go to Mammoth if you live in North Lake. Squawpine blows Mammoth's terrain out of the water, and I would expect a comparable park shortly.
