Freeride competitions

So I'm new to these competitions and I'm wondering if i have to actually sign up for the competitions? or Just show up and be ready to compete...
Do competitions get sold out or do they have limited spots?

You have to sign up.  Last year all of the FWT stops filled up in about 3 or 4 seconds.  literally, people sit around and wait to click.

Almost all comps you will be required to sign up. unless its like some local hill thing that they are putting on for the hell of it. but 99% of the time you'll have to sign up somewhere if you want to compete
