im 5'10 155lbs, typically like softer skis, want this for my everything ski, ive got dedicated park skis, but id ski these in the park a bit too. mostly for those days where i like to go do a lil bit of everything.
the one thing im kinda unsure about with the bacons is the camber underfoot. ive skiied multiple flat underfoot, rocker tip and tail skis, and multiple camber underfoot rocker tip and tail skis. and ive never really liked the feeling of the camber underfoot. almost like it made it ski more like a traditional camber ski, which i dont want when looking for a rockered ski, yet didnt really have a noticeable stability or performance advantage of a flat underfoot ski. ive kinda felt like its more unpredictable, with full rocker skis you know where ur tips and tails are and what you can do with your skis. with camber underfoot and rocker tips it feels like sometimes your tips and tails will be there and sometimes they wont, if that makes any sense. plus it takes away a bit of the surfey feeling from full rocker skis.
so thats whats giving me second thoughts...
keep in mind i dont care at all about groomer performance, just their ability to fuck around all over the mountain. im basically looking for a mini ep pro/hellbent.
so ive looked at the one life, surface pow skis seem a little on the stiffer side, but dimension and rocker profile wise the one life is pretty spot on. anyone with experience on these, or even hand flexing them care to compare their flex?
any other skis out there im not thinking of?
