Got beaten up today at C.O.P

First off some background info. I am 14 years old (I know that is not a good thing to say to Newschoolers) and my brother is 16 years old. The guy that beat us up was over 18, and could be charged for what he did. I had never met him before and it seemed like he has a violent history because he punched another friend of mine last year, and he was threatening another C.O.P local earlier that year.

I was at the top of the progression park, about to hit the jump, when he cut me off, so i went off to the side to get out of his way, he tried a 5 and ate absolute shit, I guess he blamed it on me because he was really raging, even though he had cut me off and just fell because he was a really bad snowboarder. So i was waiting in the line for the jump at the bottom of the progression park when the guy comes up from behind and punches me in the back of the head, I got up and he tackled me over and tried to punch me in the balls, Ben ( my brother came over and was like "what are you doing!" so he punches Ben ( my brother) in the face, giving him a gnarly black eye and then tries to like get on top of him, I tell him to fuck off and he actually left, but was angry and swearing and being a humongous asshole. My friend Jared was watching and can confirm this happened.


I got park security involved and I managed to get him banned for the whole year, His name on his pass is James Ward although we are not sure if it is him.

Ben's NS name is B.Taillefer and Jared's is DURK18.

Last year I went to hit a small tabletop and work on my 3's, it was like 5 ft, super mellow.I called my drop and started going, a few seconds later a snowboarder blazes past me screaming about how I cut him off and he was dropping in from the top of the hill. The guy punched me in the arm and screamed at me about pulling my pass and how I was being reckless, saw the guy later straight airing everything eating shit

Ahaha, I ski at COP twice a week(I'm from the red deer team) and there's some dicks there, also last year at my local hill there were guys on the chairlift behind us yelling and being idiots, so me and my buddy start making fun of them, the guy on the chairlift in front of us thought we were yelling at him, he was probably 18 or so, and I was 14, he confronts me about it, and I ell him we were yelling at someone else, he calls bullshit, unzips and runs at me, so I just ski 5 feet ahead of him and stop, he realizes he has been foiled, so he walks back to his snowboard and yells FUCK YOU./brool story co.

I semi dealt with a snowboarder douche last year at COP.
He looked like he was ready to fight me and my friend.

He kept standing in front of the lip for the wooden wallride that was placed at the top of the pipe area. We kept telling him to kindly move, sadly, his response was "this is a snowboard only feature, fuck off you little faggots".
Now I'm not little (bigger than he is actually(6'3)). He eventually just wobbled away.

Later on the chair, I can hear him yelling "FUCK YOU YOU SKIER FAGGOTS, GET OUT OF THE PARK".
Just like Life Cereal, I don't know where this guy got off. Complete disrespect, and when I slid up over him on the wallride (once again, he was standing in the run in), he looked like he was ready to fight me.

I think later he got injured and left.

Cool story, I know.



I just don't get some people. Especially in OP's case, with it being in the progression park, the fucking jump is a foot high! Nothing like bigs or anything.

Ignore his story, his computer must have spell check on, so i'll sum up what he meant


He was at a concert, some dubstep concert, and he got in a fight about something like you know something you would fight over at a dubstep concert like glow sticks or water bottles or something, anyways, this older kid punched him because this older kid was the only kid not on X at the whole dubstep concert because he was trying to rob kids that were enjoying dubstep but in reality the kid telling the story couldnt be robbed because he had nothing to be robbed since he is only 14 0r 16 or whatever he said (really he is 12 but once again spell check) and then his sober non enjoying of dubstep brother, not bro but actually his biologically half brother, came over and the kid trying to rob him realized he can't rob someone that isnt enjoying dubstep so then a fiasco broke out, but everyone enjoying dubstep didn't care about this fiasco so "park security" aka dubstep security was called in, and in between the songs that dubstep was playing they broke up the fight and the older bully was sent home and a phone call to his mother was made, thus banning him from all future dubstep events for one year, aka grounded from dubstep

A swift ski boot to the ribs from your brother when the dude was on top of you would have solved that, I can't stand people like that.
I've never seen a fight at a ski hill, but one time when I was on the chair I saw a young kid, no older than twelve coming into a table with not enough speed, and then this dude that had to be 18+ comes up behind him all pissed that the kid went slow, dude was just raging at the kid. Made me pretty pissed.

I got a call last year to treat a guy who got punched in the face.

The guy said that as he was getting off the lift some other dude ran up to him yelling "yo bro did you just call me a faggot?" and didn't bother waiting for a reply before punching the lift guy in the face and bending four of his front teeth back.

I had some old drunk guy try and fight me when I was clipping his ticket for bombing through our park all night cutting people off and shit. I warned him 3 times before I stopped him at the bottom of the hill and wouldn't let him on the lift. Thankfully some ski patrollers and a manager came and got my back... dude was not happy, but he was being ridiculous and totally deserved it.

Also, some snowboarder cut me off super bad in the park and so when I called him out on it at the bottom of the hill he got all pissy and was like "I've been riding here since before you were born... blah blah blah." He was yelling and swearing at me and making a big scene for no reason. So, then I showed him my employee/ski patrol ID and told him if he didn't shut his mouth and get on the lift I was going to get his season pass suspended for as long as my boss would let me.

I don't enjoy clipping tickets, but if people are going to be rude and disrespectful to both the park and me... that's not gonna fly.

I've had several issues with this type of thing.

1st, A 40 year old guy in the lift line accused me of cutting, even though there was nobody behind me and he was in front of me. I proceeded to verbally destroy him as he swore profusely at me in front of his wife and children. I pointed out how poor of an example he was setting then he stated how if he was younger he would fight me, then he turned around and whispered something to his wife to which she chuckled. To that I said loudly "Honey, my testosterone is raging, let's go have sex!" and the lift line started laughing at him since by that time most people were watching us.

2nd, I had a snowboarder call me out after he completely out of control cut me off and crashed. He immediately unstrapped and started to run towards me and I skied away from him switch taunting him at exactly how fast he could run so he could never catch me. I ended up telling him to wait for me to come by next run so we could fight and he sat down on the snow and actually waited. Of course I came by the next run and dusted his ass at mach 5 and skied away laughing.
