Replying to GoPro HD Mount on Ski Tip

I'm wondering if anybody has put an adhesive mounting bracket from their GoPro HD on one of their skis, and how far in front of the boot to put it. I want to make sure I'm far enough away to see more than just my boot, but close enough to get a decent shot and avoid a lot of bouncing of my GoPro way out on the tip.

Any pointers from someone who has done it?

My skis are the ninthward rory silva pros which have an early rise on the tips.
