I'm not sure if all of you remember Line's earlier series of skis but they are literally the best skis on earth. In October I pulled out an old pair of 2003 171 Mike Nick Pros and ripped on them for a day...holy shit I advise getting your hands on a pair of these retro gems ASAP. Its like skiing with feathers on your feet. Jibbing is a joke. You can find them online all over the place for dirt cheap. Any Line Ski from 2004 or earlier will not disappoint (not to say the new stuff does), its just a different experience, and one worth the while. I think this should be the year we look back and really applaud the earlier innovators in our industry. Please get out and pay hommage to your ancestors. Also, your ancestors rock. Get a pair.
I saw my first ever twin tips last season. Someone was still rocking them, it looked like they had blown up one or two times, but were fixed. I kinda wanted to take them back.
Gotta love the 02/03 Line 1260s. 9 seasons later, still riding on Line skis
Blue, orange and black? Those are 100 underfoot, and aren't old at all. I have a pair in my living room. Destroyed the shit of them in a season. No more life. Still loved them.
I have a pair of Line 1260s from 00/01. They're the orange ones with the DJ.
I finally retired them last week!
They were amazing for being so old. Symmetrical, center mounted. 76mm at the waist was actually considered WIDE at the time! Topsheet chipped really easy but I never lost any of the edge.
Eventually they just got flexed out...lost their camber.
