yeah definitely something im seriously considering just im graduating in like 5 days here and im geting cut off from any parental funds towards my bill so i need to be conservative until i make some more money.

190's are plenty strong, i've used a 300L on a 1d2 on mine before and never had a problem

This. Imo people are really blowing up the whole 'you need super expensive legs'.
My 190xdb's are fucking perfect. I love 'em to death. Seriously. But I don't do video, so maybe that makes a difference. But I guess a pair of 055 legs is a whole lot sturdier than some 190's. Eiher way: good legs.

yeah but your comparing a ball to a fluid head. I wouldnt worry about a DSLR on 190 legs if I were only taking photos, but once you start panning and tilting, they seem to bobble a bit with me.
