As many probably know, talisman is no longer around. I was walking through the property today and there are still a lot of rails out on the grass and was thinking it would be sick to get some people together and build a private park on the hill. I am looking at borrowing a sled from a friend as well, and trying to build some big jumps on the hill. Just wondering if anyone would be interested in participating in this.
i think they had problems with people breaking in and smashing windows over the summer. It's definitely trespassing, but really the worst that will happen is they ask us to leave.
someone should take the rails.....I actually have a contact as a family friend used to work there. They would no who is in charge. I will see what i can do.
from what i know, the bank ownes it and has a company called Cushman and Wakefield LTD selling it.
It would so dope to hike up on a pow day. I want to say there are roads on top of the escarpment, so you could like park up there and just get one run in and get someone to drive back down and meet you.
the person in charge is a trustee from BDO financial.
if you are caught on the property you will likely either be escorted off or charged with trespassing. back in october i was taking pictures on the hill and i had to plead my case that i was taking pictures for family friends that used to ski there. the fact that i had on a shirt and tie for a job interview at beaver valley ski club probably saved me from being charged. just so you know, your family friend is likely still owed an entire paychek from there that they will never see.
there has been no communication between the owners and former staff so i doubt he knows who is in charge.
they aren't taking looting very lightly. do yourself a favour and just let it be.
i grew up skiing there, taught there for 7 years and my family owns property on the hill so we've been kept in the know about what has been going on.
