they had an additional 100 off that so it was $1974. so crazy. Its a fantastic lens guys, someone with the cash get it for this crazy good price!

Not to mention the tax you have to pay on it when you receive it.  I'm sure most of you don't but it's something to remember.  That's a great deal and will ease the pain a little when paying tax to your state. 

Look up State Use Tax.  Online dealers are supposed to report orders of $500 or more and you pay the tax rate of your state to your state gov.

i for one can't believe B&H had a deal on anything. usually they never do. actually they have those rebates a lot, but they never have sales.

really? i thought if you paid for something online and you had it shipped it somewhere thats out of the state of the retailer (i.e out of new york->new jersey) you didnt have to pay taxes.

You don't use B&H for low prices, you use it because they have the best customer service and are really reliable as well as selection.

if your out of state they won't charge you taxes during the initial purchase.  Once you get the product if over a certain amount determined by your state you are supposed to pay a "use tax" to that State government.

Usually whatever your Sales tax in that state is.
