So I know normal wear and tear on gear and i ride park.

I just noticed my edge starting to pop up when i was waxing my skis.

I wanted these to last a few more seasons,

is there any way to prevent further damage.

repair ideas?

Input wanted.

i see the ripped edge is under the binding, this could be from grinding rails. what i mean by that is the edges that are under foot are to sharp. try de-tuning the area under your foot so that the edge dose not rip out from catching on the rail.

Basically you wanna keep water from getting in there. Ive had this happen to my past two skis. appoxy works the best i think. Just use something small to apply it to get it inside that crack and make sure you let it dry completely before skiing on it. as for the edge the best bet its to file it down so its level with the bottom of the ski or else its going to catch on something and rip a whole ton more edge out (had that happen as well). Once the appoxy dries use a exacto knife or some blade to get rid of the excess. hope that helps!

this. Really go at it with a hand file so hopefully it doesn't snag on snow or rails.

As somebody mentioned, you probably never really detuned your edges underfoot and as a result you got way more friction each time you hit a rail or box. Try to detune them (especially on the edges that aren't fucked), but once the edge breaks like that, it is really only a matter of time until it gets even worse.

try welding it back together, and then file it down

Try smack it down with a hammer (use a bit of wood or something to distribute the force, til the edge is as level as you can get it.

then file it down with a hand file, get some poxy in there just to seal it, then go over it with a diamond file... If done right it should last.

no its not
on my skis i have that on my usually left ski, so when i grind the edge that poped out is contacting the rail, so i just switch the ski to my right fooot

If you switch skis and use all 4 edges equally you're less likely to run into problems like this. The skis wear down evenly instead of getting bashed the same way over and over again in the same spot.

same thing happened to my moments last year :( i dont really know what you should do, but do something because by the end of the season my edge had gone from that to complete shit haha

I did the same thing to my skis and i poxied them back together but after a short time it just pops out and gets worse, either you buy new skis or get your edge completely replaced, sorry dude i know it sucks
