Carrying skis aframe or diagonal?

what do you like better? i have only tried diagonal. just wondering as im getting backpack

Depends on the type of hike.  Short hike with a semi empty pack- diagnol.  Long hike with a full pack- a-frame.

Yup, I have two packs. The little one works really good with the diagonal. Its to small and light for A-frame. On my big pack A-frame works really good.
