i know everything worth knowing about fucking star wars. i have all the lightsaber toys, the legos, even my dog is named chewbacca. i feel like showing off so ask me any question about star wars and ill do my best to answer it in my druken stupor. ill be honest and i wont lok shit up.

purple is not a "darkside color." when mace was a padawan and going through the process of constructing his saber, he requested a greater challenge than most apprentices were offered. the council told him to go to hurikane and find a crystal there which is a much harder place to find a crystal than the traditional worlds: ilum, adega, and dantooine. after a conflict with the natives he was able to teach them a valuable lesson about the power of the force and the way of the jedi, and out of gratitude they gave him the purple crystal.

there are no set rules about who can use what color. the reason most sith's sabers are red is because they dont mind using fabricated crystals, which usually turn out red. jedi, on the other hand, think the fabricated crystals are impure and they only use natural colors, which may include red if they are found on a lava planet.

I second this. A solid chunk of my childhood life was taken by that shit. Erry time I go home I play it like a mother fucker. I love the challenge where you just beat the shit out of other jedis the whole fucking time.

yes youre right about that. i really think the comics / novels are pretty lame compared to the movies, but its still interesting and fun trivia to impress people with.

KOTOR is the best in my opinion, but TONS of good games in the star wars universe.
of course i could argue dejarik over pazaak...

what was the name of the man who threatens luke in the cantina scene the he has "the death sentence on twelve systems" only to be disarmed (pun intended) by obi wan?

I wish I'd read the first two... I found the third at a yard sale and absolutely loved it. I don't know where it went, though. I get a large amount of my knowledge from my friend's Star Wars character encyclopedia that I kinda stole from him years ago and still have. I also have read and loved all the X-Wing: Rogue Squadron/Wraith Squadron ones.

the last couple seasons have been better about that, first two were pretty childish...i think part of it may be the limitations to having the plot happen within the 20 minutes it's on, though lately they've had more stories that take up multiple episodes which i like a lot better.
