So mount snow plans on opening on saturday. Whos going?
Good afternoon skiers and riders! We just finished up our first "Snow Plan" meeting of the season over at mountain ops and I think you're going to like to hear what we talked about. But first, in case you're wondering what Snow Plan is, it's an aptly-named gathering of folks from snowmaking, lifts, rescue, freestyle, grooming, PR and others to talk about - if nothing else - the plan for snow. It's awesome.
So here's the deal: We are looking at a window of snowmaking temps starting Sunday afternoon through at least Monday morning. We plan to fire up the fan guns on Cascade, Canyon, The Gulch, Long John and Launch Pad to put together some "conservation piles" which are expected to stick around even through the forecasted above-freezing temps of next week. You guys know how Ma Nature works, so this is the plan now but it may change so keep it here for the latest.
Bottom line is, the guns are ready and so are we. I would imagine you guys are, too. Cheers to the return of winter."
Think this means launchpad will be open next weekend???Only if there is a consistent string of cold days in the forecast...they're not going to spread any of those snow piles unless they're sure it'll stick around.
