Headed out to PC 10 days for my winter break, but will probably split time between pc, canyons, and dv. My moms trying to get lift tickets ahead of time, and she was asking me if she should get the "Fast track" pass. does anyone know anything about it, is it worth it? like, are the lines in the express lane really shorter (remember this will be the week of/after christmas), or does everyone just get the fast track so it's just as long?
Agreed with the above post. I've gone to PC every year the past 7 years around that exact time and had the Fast Track about 5 of those times. If you're mainly riding park, then no it's not worth it. But i will say, for Payday, Bonanza, and King Kong/Silverload (can't remember which of the two had it) it was totally worth it. Those lines become a zoo and fast track gets you right to the front. I was taking non-stop pow runs through the trees while others stood in line. Only time it wasn't worth it was when PC tested fast tracks with the 2 day passes one year and the line was just as long as the normal one. Every other year it has been worth it unless you're only skiing park.
And I'll add that the big park, Kings Crown (if they get it open) is accessed through Pay Day. Probably won't be open then but if it is, thats another thing to consider.
if youre not paying for it then fuck ya get fast tracks so clutch arounf christmas. dunno if 3 kings park lift will have fast tracks but all the other big lifts will
not to encourage you to take advantage of your parents, but definitely get it if you can. long lift lines are awful and the aforementioned lifts have a tendency to get pretty bad.
havent waited in a lift line in 2 years....fucking amazing. Get up early ski as many runs you usually do in just the morning. Then you got the entire afternoon to. The best is when its a super busy day but decent snow conditinos and everyones out, you crush like two laps in the time people havent even gotten one yet. Best feeling ever. But you get the dirtiest looks from stupid tourists
sick, yeah my parents are gonna pay for it. we dont do a tree or gifts for christmas, we just ski for ten days, so any additions to lift tix are just part of the big christmas gift.
it is only useful on certain lifts. and the most important thing is that the congestion occurs low mountain. so once you are mid-mountain and up you find the crowds aren't there.
