It has come to my attention that so far this year, 4 skiing segments have used the exact same song. This song is "Sail" by AWOLNATION. Re-using a song isn't always a big deal (like in Revolver and Light the Wick both used the song "Bad Wings" last year) but using the sam song 4 times is a little bit redundant.
This year these 4 segments have used the song "Sail" :
- TGR's One For the Road - Alaska closing segment
- MSP's Attack of La Nina - Alyeska Park shoot
- Salomon Freeski Tv Episode 6
- Kastle Pro Team Athletes Edit
Unfortunately I cannot embed one for the road or la nina's segments because of copyright laws.
So what do you guys think of this redundant use of this song? It may not be a big deal, but I find it slightly annoying and it is an interesting discussion topic. Should ski companies begin calling dibs on songs or should they just be respectful of each other and not use eachother's songs?
