I mean some people want a demure, porcelain doll looking girl that they can imagine is so pure and untouched...  I just want a real chicky with real balls that isn't big on giving fucks and does what she wants.  I like badass girls.  I see tats like that on a total hottie and think to myself "Wow, I bet she is a total banshee in the sack".  I can't help it.  I see tats like that and associate it with a love for a certain amount of pain and I think it's so motherfuckin' hot when the girl is already a smokeshow.  It says she's tough.  It says she's not your average girly girl.  It makes ya wanna lick yer way to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop while she's tied up and make her beg for it NAHMEEN!?!??

Piercings are ok if they're small.  That bull nosering shit just looks gross to me but a nose stud is hot.  I am not a fan of clit piercings.

okay, after reconsideration of my reconsiderations i've come to the ultimatum of tattoo beauty enhancement proporties.

1. Tattoos will, in no way, make an unattractive girl seem attractive.
2. Tattoos can ENHANCE the attractiveness of an already-attractive girl.
3. Tattoos must be well done, well thought out, and well placed in order to succeed in rule 2.
4. It is true, girls with black hair can wear tattoos better than others.

on the other hand, my thoughts on piercings

1. Bellybutton piercings have seemed to appear on EVERY teenage girl I know lately and I'm fucking sick of it. Leave it to the girls in the strip club, it doesn't look good on you.
2. Gauges of any kind = puke.
3. Ear piercings are fine as long as girls keep it less than 3 on each ear.
4. The only other piercings that can look good are single studs on a girls nose, or on her upper lip... none of that snakebite or cow nose shit, thats gross.

those are my opinions hands down after pondering it for quite a while.

I love a girl with tattoos, but I also just like tattoos in general. I think it's funny how everyone is hating on flash so hard, cool traditional stuff will always look cool to me. Also, I think septum piercings are sexy as hell, did so before my girlfriend got hers, and will continue to indefinitely.

I think 99% of tats - the ones for a dead loved one makes you look trashy and I instantly think your a skank. But then again I did grow up in westchester. Out in Breck a shit ton of people have them.

IMO, the hotter a girl is, the worse tattoos look on her. If a girl is a bit fat for example, I think that a nice tattoo can distract from that, but if a girl is hot the tattoo just distracts from her hotness.

Sure, that doesn't mean we can't have an opinion on how tattoos look. Someone might want to get a tattoo of a dick on their forehead. I won't get one, that's their right, and that person probably doesn't give a fuck about what anyone else thinks, but I'm still gonna think they look like an idiot.

sorry for the double post. But I forgot to post my opinion. I agree with the properties posted above. 9 times out of 10 I don't like them. For some reason I really like that giant cross on angelina jolie that she got to cover something up.

This thread is only asking for fights of opinions between people, some people will never like tattoos, some people are obsessed. People don't like tattoos because they are forever, they aren't natural, and some people plain just don't like other's opinons or idea's in their face which is understandable. People like me enjoy their tattoos and others because it helps me express myself, it lets my mind be able to really do something permanent and have something that i love all for myself for the rest of my life.

I can't wait to be old and wrinkly and see all the things i loved when i was young still on my skin, almost in ruins so I can understand the effectes of time.

i know he's not a girl but Leigh Powis' tattoos are FUCKING SICK. some are kinda weird like the porky the pig one and the peter pan (they're weird to me because they have meaning to him but not to me), but the whole deal he's got going on across his knuckles and on his hands/wrists is awesome.... i'm hoping to get into doing tattoos soon, i think it'd be a fun thing to try out once i'm old enough.

the fuck? aside from the obvious risks of getting a tattoo, non sterile needles, potential allergic reactions to ink etc. There is no correlation between being tattoo'd and a premature death. So no, it is not bad for you so long as you're not allergic to the ink or go to a shady tattoo artist who reuses non sterile needles.

I'm a sucker for tattoos. I think its attractive as fuck, both on guys and girls. I read somewhere that people in Sweden/Stockholm are among the most tattooed people in the world (dont know if thats true, but I can sure as hell imagine it is), and you cant really go anywhere without seeing some artsy hipster tattoo, may it be on an artsy hipster or a suit on his way home from the office. I think I have nothing at all against it because of how common it is here, I've become so accustomed to it that I barely even think about it anymore, and the only reason I havent done anything myself yet is because I cant really afford to put $1000 on ink right now.

i knowww, fucking DOPE. not a big fan of the dreamcatcher on his face, but that's just me. i think the tats on his neck aren't bad either but his sleeve is so sick/unlike any other sleeve i've ever seen. the way he describes the tattoos as well (as ways of recording good memories) is interesting because i've never thought of tattoos like that.

When I was a little kid, we had this bonus room in our house that we called our "playroom" We had ping pong, foseball, an extra bunk bed and all the toys a couple boys could ever want. My dad even traded some work with a guy that builds playgrounds, had a full on jungle gym in there. So one day we got the bright idea to draw on the walls.

We had an army of crayons, markers, and paints. We would draw pictures, play hangman, tick tac toe, even get serious and try to make some art. It was kick ass. Parents were chill, and friends would come over and leave there own mark. The place looked awesome, covered in our own creations, thoughts, and memories.

Inevitably, it faded. Then became an embarrassment.

Quite simply, what I was into and thought was cool as a kid changed as I became a teenager. Just like the things I was into as a teenager are different when I became a young adult. It's easy to assume that as I become middle aged then elderly, I'll be shaking my head at how skewed my priorities were in my 20's.


Moral of the story is, what sounds or looks like a good idea now. Will not be in the future. Who knows, you could even end up with the next "tribal armband" or butterfly LBT.

I'm also not going to deny that nice tats on a hot chick is a turn on. I love that shit. Living with it is a different story.

and this is why people who get tattoos shouldn't get them of things they think are "cool"

as Leigh put it, tattoos should be of memories or of cherished individuals, because those things will never not be "cool" to us. they'll always have meaning.

right now i know various things i could create tattoos of on myself that would carry significance with them until the day that i died.

yes, this. My tattoo was trendy, but it doesn't matter and I don't care what others think about it because when I see it or think of it, I think of the memory associated with it.

My mom, brother, and myself all got tattoos in Hawaii on our last family vacation as just the four of us. My dad sat in the car and thought we were all idiots.

So that's what my tattoo is- a preservation of that memory.

straight up art isn't a bad idea... but everybody changes their opinions about certain styles of art over time. i'd rather have my arm covered in symbols that have real meaning to me, yet appear to be simply art to other people. also, names just don't work to be honest. i can only think of one name i'd ever get tattooed on me and it wouldn't be a big tattoo. also, stupid love or life quotes don't look good in my opinion either.



the way i see it, you have a memory or something of meaning. YOU, the person who is getting the tattoo, chooses an artistic way of exhibiting that meaning, and that is what you get tattooed onto you, not just the art, not just the meaning, but rather a mixture of both.


quite frankly, i think it'd be REALLY cool to have my entire life on my arm. each tattoo would have a different meaning behind it, each would have it's own story. i'd be able to recount my whole life just by lifting up my sleeve and explaining each one.
