for me a girl shouldnt have a tattoo that:
-tries to enhance her sex appeal
-cant be easily covered up
-is generic

i dont think it needs to be meaningful, either. if you want a tattoo just because it looks nice, i think thats okay. however it needs to blend with your personality as well. if youre the cute librarian school girl type, dont get "hells angels" across your back. the key is simply having the tattoo blend with your personality. a girl who is sort of hesh and wears flannel shirt and doesnt wash her hair can look good with a large tattoo or two, but i dont want to see a rich, classier, preppy type with a sleeve. but like i mentioned in the list above, the tattoo should not be done to look sexy. no lower back, low hip bone, thigh, or boob tats.

i know this girl who has always been a dumb slut, who gives into every fashion trend and revolves her life around trying to be hot, who got a tattoo below her waist line that reads "i fly by my own wings." that is a terrible tattoo. i know another girl who is really chill, skis, longboards, drinks beer, goes hiking, etc. who got a 2"x2" tat of an army tank on the inside of her bicep, just high enough that its only slightly visible when she wears a t shirt. i think that looks really good, and it does enhance her sex appeal.

This is exactly how I feel. I think girls that have these massive pieces and full sleeves and such look good most of the time, but once they hit 30+ I feel like they will look like shit. And the little pointless tattoos everyones talking about, those look like shit now and will look even worse as they age.

Girls with stuff like Kat Von D look incredible when they are young. I love them. But tattoos do not age well, bottom line.

i have a snowflake tattoo on my hip...you cant usually see it unless im wearing a bathing suit or my shirt doesnt cover that spot. I like it cuz i have it and it means something, but easily hidden

there's a chick in my geophysics class that has a barcode tattooed in her neck, one time me and some friends spotted her in the supermarket and asked if we could scan her, turns out she's a carton of milk ....

A hot girl is a hot girl regardless of presence/absence of tattoos. From my experience a few tattoos=no big deal, but more tattoos can be a sign that you have acquired a crazy bitch thats hiding track marks etc

He only does custom designs, and only sizeable pieces like sleves, backs, legs. (sorry no shop flash tramp stamps.)

I love his ability to put together a good composition and his use of colour is mindblowing.

I made something awesome out of unfortunate scenarios. Every time I had knee surgery I got a snowflake tattooed on my backside, the first time I went in I had already had quite a few "backlogged" and he designed the piece to fit to my body, it's not like they're just "stuck on at random". We designed it so it's like snowflakes on a gust of wind that wraps around my hip to ribs to shoulder. Here's a camera shot of the last 2 I had done years ago up on my shoulder.

Read previous post, it really depends on the girl, what she got, how it looks and suits the personality. I mentioned that in the right case it can add to their looks and suit them, much like the photo of my friend I posted. I think in her case it adds to her looks. I posted that photo as an example of why some girls may get tattoos, that they're not all meaningless tramp stamps or "flash" off a tattoo parlour wall. I think random butterflies, stars and tribal junk looks horrible on guys and girls for the most part.Its meaningless and isn't shaped to their body, it's just "stuck on" in random locations.

looked at this and then realized that half the reason i love the first picture is because the girl is hot... not just because of the tattoos.

i LOVE tats that go up a girls side, as long as they're not stars or some shit cuz that just looks straight pornstar to me.

Not trying to derail this thread... but since you all seem pretty knowledgeable; I'd like some input on this. I've always wanted a couple of mountain peaks  done in a similar style as this:VV

My issue is that I have no idea where to get it done? I would prefer an area that isn't prone to stretching/warping ( I'm a big noob)
