I'm looking to sell or trade a brand-new, never opened never used Ortovox S1 avi beacon/transceiver. I'd sell it for $350 or trade it for a set of nicely cared for park skis with bindings (or possibly unmounted skis if they're right). I need something between 175-183 or so.
I have an extra one after buying a few for myself and friends... I couldn't sell the last one. My unit is in the picture next to the unopened one.
I bought them because an ex-patroller friend of mine referred to them as the 'iphone of avi beacons' and I'm doing way more this year in the alpental and crystal backcountry. They are super easy to use, comfortable to wear (comes with a harness and batteries), and they get good to glowing reviews every time. It's kind of in a league of its own when it comes to beacons, the graphical display is unique. It also has an audio indicator, thermometer, inclinometer (slope), and compass built in.
