Vivitar vintage lenses?

pretty sure you can't adapt minolta lenses to a eos body. that being said, if your looking for old lenses, i have a few i'll let go pretty cheap along with an adapter.

you can't adapt them, but you can replace the mount completely with an eos mount. it is no easy task, and you risk making the lens useless when doing it, but for some glass (like the 58 1.2) it is worth it. Alternatively you can buy the lens pre converted, but it will cost you a premium. here is a guide for the 58 1.2 (probably going to be my next purchase to use on my 5d, as it is one of the best 50's ever made)

Most (if not all?) vivitar lenses are just rebranded lenses made by other producers: Tokina, Komine, Kiron, Cosina etc. These brands all made nice lenses.
Usually they're good lenses, but not the best by any means. The Vivitar 1 series are pretty good though.

As for different mounts:
Rokkor/Minolta/Sony (all the same mount) lenses can only be used on Canons when doing a mount conversion, which isn't really easy or something.

When looking for all glass you're better of trying other mounts:
Nikon F, Olympus Om, Praktica M42, Leica M39, Contax/Yashica C/Y, Pentax K, Kiev/Pentacon Six etc.
