i havent heard much about them, but the dimensions look perfect for a sick powder ski. anyone ridden them? how stiff are they, are they true twin tipped? any info would be great

Stiff as shit, more than a true twin tip.They have sooo much tip in the tail. I dont like them though, they are just stiff and have no energy to them. I like a stiff ski but not that stiff. I doubt any of you park monkeys could even ski the things anyway

i haven't ridin them but a flexed em at the shop and they were suprisingly soft. i think they are sick.

I don't know if they are true twintipped but the tail looks extra curved, bonus for riding and landing switch in powder, and i didn't think they were too stiff either.

I saw them at a ski shop, they are huge. Stiff, but not too stiff. You'd have to be a beast to handle them though.

im 5 11, 145 lbs, and an expert skier, but i like a softer ski, but some people say they're soft, others that they're stiff, which is it?

the Gotamas? they are about middle of the road in stiffness, but they are very soft compared to most Volkls.

they arent that stiff, i ahve them, for all mountina pow,, they flex alot, when you ride crud pow they alomst suck, i love them though for pow

I'd say they are softer than pocket rockets but stiffer than last year's pistols.

DUDE GUYS, THEY ARE NOT MONSTER SKIS LIKE THE EXPLOSIVES, THEY ARE REALLY SOFT! AT SQUAW, OLD WOMEN RIDE THEM AROUND FOR THEIR ALL MOUNTAIN SKIS, you will have no problem controoling them unless you are the worst skier ever. The tails are pretty big, but they'd probably be best for a BC jib ski.

I have last years gotama, the sidewall isnt tough at all, got water in it, started to crack and delam like crazy. Warranty didt get me jack shit bacause they said it was from jumping. Which is funny because their adds show guys 1238230823 feet in the air in the bc... that looks like jumping to me.

get the made'n ak's. they will cost you way less than volkl's and i know for a fact that they are softer than the gotamas (cuz i own a pair of made'ns) and they are 3mm wider than the gotamas. better graphics too if you ask me.

the madens are off the hook iv skied on mine about 10 days alredy and they own the pow, crud, and everything off the trail. there not stiff for me at all considering im prity big (6 foot 225) but theres not a shit load of side sut on them so u have to be a decent skier to carve them in the groomers well but if they are chearer and lass stiff then the vkils id def go with the maden



what happined to drugs, sex, & rock and roll...now adays we have aids crack and techno.......

^^heck ya! they arent stiff for me either and im a small guy. im only 5ft 9in and 155libs. so if i can manage the 179's im sure you could manage them too. love 'em

Yea last years had the sidewall defect, I just sent mine back, hopefully be getting the 05's in the next month or two. Not that hard to handle, I don't really know why people think they are. Perfect ski for tahoe imo..
