This is a new provision in the 2012 edition, the re-do it every year.
That being said, I disagree with it as it goes against our constitution. However, I do want to stop terrorism in this country. So I have mixed feelings.
The erosion of democracy is a slow process, it seems. This year it offers a few new provisions which place terrorism investigations into the hands of the military, and allow them to place any American citizen they want in jail for any amount of time they want, effectively undermining your bill of rights.
Its funny how the politics of fear dictate American policy so much.
your location says you're from New Zeland which is a "progressive mixed country" maybe you're too ignorant to know about your government, but that means that there is a "free market" however, the government has a lot of power on the market. Essentially the market goes how it goes and then the government decides whether they like it or not. Still essentially socialism.
