alright. i have been heavily involved in art for my entire life. i have been doing small scale graffiti 'style' peices, but i have been getting real interested in the real thing (culture, ethics, history ect). anyway, who here is down with that shit? im prolly gonna pick some tips up for my room, as well as a good variety of paints.

i saw this magazine called artillery at virgin records i think it was... it was all about urban graffiti and that atmosphere, looked so fuckin dope!

graffiti is the most awesome form of art ever...go to www.tuffcitystyles.com that is some of the best graffiti I have ever seen...I myself am quite into graffing and starting to develope my name and get some good throw-ups out. I have never gotten up though.(getting up is tagging on a wall) ....as far as the history goes...my friend who is really fucking good at graffing has this book called 'the art of getting up' possibly the coolest book ever and you will learn alot from it.

thats my 2 cents on graffing,

well I am the friend of who concept pro speaks, and some good links would be www.artcrimes.com or www.tuffcitystyles.com. both pretty sick sites. some great books too are Broken Windows (I think thats what its called) and The Art of Getting Over. The art of getting over goes into really good detail about the history and culture and stuff, basically a manual or rulebook for graffiti.

The New York Times did a sick article on graffitti two weeks ago. Some of the guys that started doing train cars and billboards, are now making 5 figures off some of their new pieces.
