Best way to strike up conversation with someone you don't know

What is the best way to strike up a converstation with someone you like but don't know at all? I like this guy who works at the local drugstore and everytime we see each other we make eye contact and we have talked before briefly. What is, in your opinion the best way for me to approach this guy and not come off as weird or awkward?

ur a good looking chick. if he is looking at u he prolly wants to talk to u. just ask him whats up. see if he skis. if he does keep talking and make sure he isnt a gaper. there is nothing good about trying to make someone your project. if he doesnt. dont waste ur time.

i work at a place where i get a lot of customer interaction and any time i've been asked out and said yes it was just direct and friendly.

Honestly, as a girl all you have to do is walk up to him and ask what he's up this weekend.

If he's into you he'll tell you something, if he's not or has no balls he'll probably have some weak excuse.

seriously, so many decent to hot looking girls complain about not knowing how to start conversations with guys. "hi im _____, tryna fuck?" really though, most guys would be stoked to have a girl take the initiative and just come up and talk to them.

some time the best thing to do is dive right into the weird awkwardness head first...

 depending on which department he works in you could probably get his help looking for or reaching some thing,  this makes it a more intimate situation but is not required...

mention that sometimes when you use the internet you are thinking about him.
 
finish up by asking his preference about something like a shampoo fragrance but not brand

if he hasnt asked for or given a number by this point he is gay go home and p.m. me for good time but dont forget to bring the morning after pill.
