ralph lauren and polo have been sponsoring the olympics for a long ass time, I dont know what you're talking about. I have a polo jacket from the 2002 games in Salt Lake.

Actually its a damn nice sponsorship. He doesnt have to leave one of the old supporters and additionaly gets tones of nice street wear / underwear and money. Best deal ever.

But i know that all the NS 15 year-olds out here think it would be super cool if adults would wear baggy pants and greet each other with the Wu-Tangbird...

So now that RL has signed a Olympic bound Pipe skier, they're bound to sign others. Any guesses as who they might sign for Slopestyle?? It would have to be someone who doesn't have an outerwear company that they're already committed to. I was thinking Bobby Brown looks like a RL kind of guy.

I agree, it doesn't mash at all.

RL is a luxury brand, designed for those that own slopeside condos at Vail, Mountain Village etc, not the ski-bum community that the freeskiing community represents.

The message that RL brand clothing sends is drastically different from the message that Mountain Hardwear, Arc'teryx, Northface, and similar brands send, despite similar price points, fits and materials.

uuuuummmmm incase you havnt noticed 98.56% of the kids involved in freestyle skiin have parents that are very well off.

RL isnt trying to convert the "vetrans" of the sport, they are trying to bring new kids into it, and have them buy RL clothes.
