New Skis - Alpha 1, Afterbang, or Chronics?

Hey dudes and ladies.  Need some advice.

Finally graduating from my piece of shit Line Invaders.  They actually held up well for a solid 4 years.  I must confess at the time of purchase I was more of a snowboarder looking to get into some mild freestyle skiing. 

Now, while I'll still throw in a snowboard day, you could essentially consider me a full-time skiier and looking for a serious improvement in the park. So here's my stats, yo:

6'0 even, 160 pounds

I'd say advanced skiier.  I can slide boxes, rails, and do small spins.  I ride the east coast (springs & wisp what up) but typically do 1-2 west coast trips a year.  Last year was Telluride (bonkers, by the way) and this year it's Big Sky.  I take those trips with the Pops and some co-workers, so not much park skiing there.  Need to be able to ski it all, and well.  I was able to ski just about everything at Telluride with relative ease on 4-year old, falling apart Invaders, so having a true "all-mountain" ski isn't all that important.  The way I see it, I can make do on a park-ier ski, but the dropoff will be far greater with an mountain-ier ski in the park.

Too much rambling---The point:  Considering Line Afterbangs, Line Chronics, or Armada Alpha 1s.  Any user reviews, thoughts, or alternate suggestions (I'm open to others) are greatly appreciated.

Alpha 1s. Armada is far superior to Line in quality and durability.

i like on the east and was between ar7 and the alpha

i i went with the ar because ive heard the tradional camber is better on ice then the rocker althouch if you doo alot of rails the rocker makes surface swaps and switchups easier and less likely to catch.

fir the east coast and all mtn aspects i would go with the ar7 but the alpha is also a good option

I live on the East and ski similarly too your style, mainly park but when i do go on trip to higher elevations i tend to ski all mountain and park.

check out liberty LTE's when i was looking for a new ski 2 yrs ago i came on here and go some advice, initialy i was between other skis but someone told me to look into them and voila now I have them and love em to death, theyre incredible in the park, very snappy and made of bamboo so there fun as hell. But there also pretty fat for just a park ski and in turn ride just as great all around the mountain, will probably be picking up another pair of LTE's when these guys are past their prime.

Oh but if you do decide not to go with those id agree with the above and go with armadas AR7s

i ski the east, cannon, every weekend, and LOVE LOVE LOVE my alpha 1s by far my favorite ski, they feel so light and nimble, yet stiff to luanch off booters and land on that east coast ice, umm if your not totally into park all the time i would get the alphas and get them mounted at the recomeneded place, i got mine dead center and there awesome for park, but havnt got used to carving with them yet

overall ALPHA 1 is the best choice, they hold up great too

Alpha 1's are good for jumps and all mtn.  A bangs are good for rails/ urban.  Chronics are a good combination for both.  Line step-ups are just stiffer and hold edge better than a bangs, same skate deck tech.

I think it dapends on your style of skiing. If your a camber ski skier youll have a harder time adjusting to the Alpha 1 over say the T Hall that ski more traditional. Both perfect for the style of the skier. My son has the JJ and Alpha 1. Pow and park ready with that quiver. He has skied only rockered skis and never even tryed a ski that wasnt. So his stlye is very new school freestyle. Feet right together type of skier. More a wiggle then a carve with articulation so the Alphas suit him perfictly!! Hes so stocked with them but I tryed them and didnt get it. Thats because Im an old man!:]  If you can before ya pull the trigger try both back to back on a hard packed day then youll know what feel if best for you. Two competely differant styles of skis and skiing.

 Ill add the Chronic will ski more like the t Hall cambered ski. The Afterbang more buttery like the Halo. Alpha 1 like the Afterbang but less hook and stiffer in the butter zones. If you lighter wieght you might find the Alphas butter zones harder to get up on over the Halo or Afterbang. If you need max edge hold then Chronics like the TH have regular camber but 92 under foot so pretty wide stable platform.
