I have to write a 5 page paper about the similarities of life on the frontier and lifestyles nowadays.

More specifically my teacher asked us to describe how life in our time is a continuation of frontier life as far as traditions, customs and things like that go. 

I'm not really sure how to approach it, so if anyone has any suggestions or has written a paper like this any input is appreciated! thanks ns

Asking your prof or a TA this same question would probably help a bit more than asking NS

I've talked to him about it and he was very vague about what he's looking for...i'm just looking for some ides to get the ball rolling

Typical prof response. Bug him again and sound really interested in the topic. If you have a couple of ideas ready to discuss this will help a ton, and if you play your cards right he will basically tell you which ones to use and which ideas not to. Getting advice from teachers is an art, mastering it is very rewarding
