are these polyatomic ions? and are the numbers after supposed to be subscript?

the 3 after the H is subscript, as is the 4 in (NH4), the 2 after it is subscript (2 ammonia) and the 4 is subscript (Sulfate)

What you wrote is a balanced equation, there are 2 N, 6 H, 1 S, and 4 O on both sides...
