Occupy is an embarassment to protests. People pissing on cops, ODing in their tents, spouting off drunk, uninformed political bullshit to news cameras.... If I was trying to protest I would at least organize it. Maybe its not the same south of the border, but I wish we could just arrest them all in Canada to get them off the streets. And if they're not homeless they shouldn't be there anyways. Not everyone is a billionaire, and anyone that can eat and sleep under a roof is a member of the global 1%.

The real 99% consists of the billions of people that earn and live off of less than 1$ a day. Anyone that felt the need to live outside of their means, buy a big house and 2 fast cars and got financially raped because of it fucked up in the first place. And you know what? If they made twice as much money they'd take out twice as large a mortgage. Its not the people at the top that are the problem, its the greedy, gullible people at the bottom.

And if they really wanted change, they would make it happen instead of politely asking. The political system is centred around individuals being able to get involved and express themselves. Occupy protests are just offensive to the principles of democracy.

Ugh, the reason the protests are failing is because too many people, including lots of people in the protests, think it's about what this kid is talking about and it makes me super sad bears.

All we have to do is get good grades in HS.  Not very hard. 

Next we have to limit ourselves to in-state schools.  Ok, that only applies to people who aren't planning on leaving home or not going for a major not offered in your state schools or perhaps one that is accredited or a specialty school.  Not fully realistic but ok. 

Then you have to not go out.  Ever.  One even once a month?  You have to be fucking kidding me.  Nobody NOBODY does that.  Not even my fkn grandmother and she's old as fuck. 

Then we have to work 26 jobs.  This part is fine, I worked two full time jobs in an accredited business school and still graduated with a 3.7 and change.  Alright, I can see that part.  

So basically, to be this kid and "be in the right of things" all you have to do is be a huge loser, never go out, never buy anything, never venture out of your home state and never stop working your dick off to enjoy yourself even the least bit.  Um yeah right kid.  Good luck getting everyone to follow your bullshit assumption, but hey at least this kid got his 15 minutes as I'm pretty sure nobody from his school even knows who he is. 

The rest of us are fine with being in a certain amount of debt and having an actual, enjoyable existence not revolving around being debt free at all times regardless of the social implications that might have.

i think its sad to see people our age living below their means. i know a few people who did that their whole lives and put their savings into 401k's which pretty much evaporated back in 2008.

The OWS movement developed due to a large fact that our economy is still recovering IMO.

People with no money will always protest against the people that do have money. It is not wall streets fault for financing peoples shitty desires (more houses, cars, furniture, vacations) its Our Governments fault.

everybody has a blame in this. Wall Street did what was legal by laws passed by OUR Congress (over the course of two decades)


I am 25 years old and my life has actually gotten better since the recession because I dont live totally outside my means. I have lots of fun, I go on vacation, save for my retirement, while paying off my mortgage.....its called living on a budget and staying relatively inside my means.

99% Of my friends have jobs and we do not live our lives any different now than we did 5 years ago. We all went to college, worked hard thankfully still have all of our jobs. The OWS crowd are a bunch of entitlement seeking, self-centered duchbags.

Protest our government, elect new people, hell run for office and learn something; do not sit there and shut down parks, streets, ports and the like just to cause a shit storm, you are making yourselves look dumber and dumber every day.
