Hey guys so I'm planning a trip next weekend and I haven't had any luck with finding open mountains in new Yorkand upper PA, also whiteface is not an option for me +k for serious responses
Only open on weekends right now.
Not a whole lot of terrain. Really only one run. If you're going that far, might as well just head to Killington. It's only about 40 mins further.
Then Killington is definitely out too. Both are about 5.5 hrs from Roc according to Google. Gore is a little under 4.5 hrs. 225 miles. (assuming you live near Rochester since you ski Bristol)
As someone mentioned above, Hunter is supposed to open this weekend. Gore and Hunter are about the same distance from Roc.
Hopefully Gore will have more open by the weekend. I wish they were open Friday. Cold weather is on the way. Lets see how well these new High efficiency guns work.
Should note.. if you're looking for park I think all Gore has setup is a flat box and shotgun rail. Also, two options for the first 1/3 of your run. Ruby Run to Sunway or Foxlair to Sunway. Foxlair has some fun stuff for like 15 feet up top.
I'm defiantly leaning towards gore I just want to ski, also has anyone heard the rumor that there's not going to be a winter on the east coast can anyone confirm this I know I victor were army supossed to get a lot of sow until late January
